Rankin Road West MUD

RANKIN ROAD WEST M.U.D.
Due to the recent extreme heat conditions, all area public water supply and distribution systems are under stress from heavy use and line breaks.   Often these conditions lead to discolored water within the distribution systems.

The Rankin Road West water distribution system is provided wholesale surface water from the Central Harris County Regional Water Authority (CHCRWA) which is part of an even larger regional water distribution system overseen by the City of Houston.

Both the CHCRWA and the City of Houston are working hard to address the discolored water issue at the source.  In the interim, the operator for Rankin Road West is diligently monitoring the situation and taking measures to mitigate the impact to Rankin Road West residents.  This includes additional line flushing and water quality testing.

The Board of Directors for Rankin Road West is in constant contact with the Rankin Road West operators and has been reassured by the operators that the water delivered by Rankin Road West meets all applicable state and federal water quality standards. For more information, or to report any water quality issues, please contact the District’s operator at (281) 895-8547.

Announcement & Reminders

Announcement & Reminders
Monthly meetings are held are Fallbrook Church 12512 Walter Road Houston, Texas 77014 in Room CY112. We meet from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. All residents are invited and encouraged to attend. It is at these meeting where we report on the daily operation and wellbeing of the association and drill deep into residents' concerns, questions or issues. So, please come.

The 2018 annual HOA dues will slightly increase from $440 to $480. As you can see around the subdivision, we use the money to pay for the upkeep of the common areas; contract security patrols; liability insurance, utilities; park and recreation; deed restriction enforcement; legal and collections; community social events; capital improvement and replacements, and many other necessities to keep the HOA functional and viable.

The HOA is ALL OF US, so support and pray for our success. Also, pay your dues in full and on time. Thank you and God bless.

2nd Annual Meeting - Thursday Sept 21st 2017

2nd Annual Meeting - Thursday Sept 21st 2017
All residents of Laurel Oaks Subdivision are strongly invited to the 2nd annual general meeting which will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2017, from 7 PM - 9 PM at Clark Intermediate school. Located at 1825 Rushworth, Houston, Texas 77014.
We will discuss the $40 increase of our HOA dues for the fiscal year (FY '18) starting on October 1st 2017, and ending September 30th 2018.
There are two general meetings each year, one in March and the other in October. It is at these meetings that we report on the state of the association, operation of the HOA, future projects, finances, Contractors, and Board Elections. Due to time constraints, we are not able to dive deeply into each residents individual complaints. That's why I strongly urge and invite each of us to attend the regular monthly HOA Board meetings that are held on the 2nd Monday of each month at Fallbrook Church Room CY 112 from 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM. This is where we have the time and space to dive into the weeds to your satisfaction.
Please spread this message to your friends, family, and neighbors. I am counting on mega turnout like we had for Fun Day at the Park.
Thank you and God bless.

Common & Frequent Deed Violations

Common & Frequent Deed Violations
Please find below the most common and frequent violations that we have observed in our subdivision from January to July 2017. As you can see, most of these are self- correctable and will cost a little amount of money, if any at all on your part. Hence, I am imploring all of us to study this list and immediately correct those violations we know pertain to us and exist on our premises. When you do this, the curb appeal in the subdivision will improve and protect your property's value!
At the end of the year, we will report the progress that I know will be positive because all of us would have done what is required to remedy our respective violations.
Laurel Oaks! I am counting on all of us. Don't let me down! By the end of January, 2018, you will also notice other improvements that we will make to the subdivision that will make you proud to be a resident of the Mighty Laurel Oaks! God bless!
Sincerely,
Godfrey Eta, President
